About Social Media Guidelines
A-Wing Visuals has specific social media platforms that they choose to represent their brand on. Platforms have been chosen as they give the brand the best ability to represent themselves. These platforms are first choice when posting content and should be referred to in the event content is posted on another platform. An example would be a post on Dribble should link and refer to their LinkedIn or Facebook page.
A-Wing Visuals also keeps text to a minimum on posts or headlines following the “short & sweet” and “let the work speak for itself” mottos. When creating a post for Facebook, you will need to take into account the type of post.

Profile Image Sizes
Never reproduce the brand mark at a size smaller than these recommendations, as it will result in the loss of their impact and readability
Facebook Profile Photo
- Profile Photo: 180x180 pixels
- 170x170 px on desktop
- 128x128 px on mobile devices
- Photo thumbnail throughout Facebook: 32x32 px
- Desktop: profile pictures are located 16 pixels from the left and 176 pixels from the top of your cover photo
- Smartphones: profile pictures are located 24 pixels from the left, 24 pixels from the bottom, and 196 pixels from the top of your cover photo
Facebook Business Page Profile Photo
- Business Page Profile Photo: 360x360 pixels
- Ideal size: 360x360 px
- Minimum dimensions: 180x180 px
- 170x170 px on desktop
- 128x128 on mobile devices
- Photo thumbnail throughout Facebook: 32x32 px
- The image will be cropped to fit a square
Facebook Cover Photo
- Cover Photos: 820x312 pixels
- Images less than 820x312 px will be stretched
- Minimum social media dimensions for cover photos are 400x150 px
- Cover photo will display at 820x312 px on desktop and 640x360 px on mobile devices
- For the best results, ensure that you upload an sRGB JPG file less than 100 KB
- If your cover photo includes an image or text, a PNG file is recommended
Facebook Shared Image
- Shared Image: 1200x630 pixels
- The recommended upload social media image size on Facebook is 1200x630 px
- Appears in the news feed at a maximum width of 470 pixels, will scale to a maximum aspect ratio of 1:1
- Shows on a Facebook page at a maximum width of 504 pixels, will scale to a maximum aspect ratio of 1:1

- Recommended upload image size is 1200x628 px
- Square Photo: minimum social media dimension of 154x154 px in feed
- Square Photo: minimum social media dimension of 116x116 px on page
- Rectangular Photo: minimum social media dimension of 470x246 px in feed
- Rectangular Photo: minimum of 484x252 on page
Facebook “Highlights” Image
- Highlight Image: 1200x717 pixels
- Appears on your page at 843x504 px
Facebook Event Image
- Event Image: 1920x1080 pixels
- Facebook will scale down to the minimum social media dimensions of 470×174 px
- The event image will appear in-feed at 470×174 px
Facebook Stories Image
Instagram favors image dimensions that look good on mobile devices supporting large vertical images. They also support horizontal and square images. This means designs will need to have a layout corresponding to the correct orientation of the post.
A-Wing Visuals favors video and photos in the vertical layout when posting to Instagram. All media should be color-correct, visually appealing, and correct size to avoid any pixelation or distortion.

- Profile Picture: 110x110 pixels
- Your profile picture appears on your profile at 110x110 px
- The image appears round on the platform but is a square photo with an aspect ratio of 1:1
Instagram Photo
- Photo Size: 1,080x1,080 pixels
- Instagram scales photos down to 612x612 px
- These images will then appear in feed at 510x510 px
- The photo size is usually displayed as either a square or rectangle with an aspect ratio between 1.91:1 and 4:5 ratio
- For portrait (4:5) photos, the recommended dimensions are 1,080x1,350 px
Instagram Stories
- Instagram Stories: 1,080x1,920 pixels
- The recommended resolution is 1,080x1,920 px
- The minimum resolution is 600x1,067 px
- The aspect ratio for Instagram Stories is 9:16
- The maximum file size is 4GB
Instagram Photo Thumbnails
- Photo Thumbnails: 161x161 pixels
- The photo thumbnails will appear on the page at 161x161 px
- Thumbnails are presented as square photos with an aspect ratio of 1:1

A-Wing Visuals uses LinkedIn for professional networking. All content should be oriented towards either showcasing work done for clients or to give knowledge such as tips about video production.
When selecting images and video use only those that reflect exceptional work and professionalism.

- The recommended image size is 1,128x191 px

YouTube Video Upload
As a video production company, YouTube is a valuable platform to showcase the work A-Wing Visuals has done. Only completed and approved videos should be uploaded to the account. Each video should be used to both showcase and catalog finished projects. Videos should be uploaded in the correct format and size to support the best quality available on the platform.
Channel Profile Image Sizes
YouTube Channel Profile Image
- Channel Profile Picture: 800x800 pixels
- The recommended profile image size is 800x800 px
- The image will display as 98x98 px
- Channel profile image types are limited to JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG
YouTube Channel Cover Photo
- Channel Cover Photo: 2,560x1,440 pixels
- Minimum dimensions are 2,048x1,152
- Tablet display: 1,855x423
- Mobile display: 1,546x423
- TV display: 2,560x1,440
- Desktop: 2,560x423, although 1,546x423 pixels is always visible.
- The flexible area in which this image may be visible is 507 pixels to the left and 507 pixels to the right of the safe area
YouTube Video Upload Image
- Video Uploads: 1,280x720 (Minimum HD)
- All YouTube videos must maintain a 16:9 aspect ratio
- In order for your video to qualify as full HD, the dimensions you use must be at least 1,280x720 px
- YouTube accepts the following formats: .MOV, .MPEG4, .MP4, .AVI, .WMV, .MPEGPS, .FLV, 3GPP, WebM, DNxHR, ProRes, CineForm, HEVC (h265)
Tone of Posts
All posts submitted to each platform should consider its tone of voice. A-Wing wants to be considered a professional leader in video production, letting their exceptional work speak for itself.
Text should relate to the video or image in the post and be kept short.
There should be no misspellings, overly clever remarks, bad mouthing, profanity, or other bad language in the text.
Text should be fun, descriptive, light-hearted, and professional.
Post Frequency
Posting should be done at a semi-frequent rate, possibly multiple times a week. This means there should be a variety of content captured to fill the content needs and to facilitate an overall story that can be followed.
Not only will work be showcased but the story around the work and the people behind it. This content will fill the gaps between larger time-consuming projects.
If there is a limit on the content gathered, then updates can be posted with short references to the current large project taking up time. This will keep posting frequent.
Posting Approval
All posts should be designed, edited, and curated before being scheduled. Posts should then need to go through an approval process to make sure they have the correct tone in the text and quality media. If a post does not meet the requirements, it should be redesigned or new assets found.
Posts can then be scheduled and posted at the correct times after they are fully approved.
Third-party software should be used to help schedule, measure, and track post's efficacy and performance.
